MyMuse Grip: Complete Guide to Care, Drying and Lube
MyMuse Grip: Complete Guide to Care, Drying and Lube
MyMuse Grip is a closed-ended stroker made from stretchy, body-safe TPE, and the sealed tip is what gives it the natural suction an open sleeve cannot. There is no motor and nothing to charge. Stretch it, add water-based lube inside, slide it on. Afterwards turn it inside out, wash it, and dry it fully.

What is MyMuse Grip, and how does the closed end work?
Grip is a sleeve, not a device. One end is open and the other is sealed, which is why the product page calls it a close-ended stroker and credits that sealed tip with natural suction. MyMuse publishes nothing further about how the suction builds, so this page does not invent a mechanism for it. Inside sits what the brand calls Japanese-engineered texture. The sleeve itself is body-safe TPE, free from BPA, latex, lead and phthalates. No motor, no app, nothing to plug in.
Which side goes in, and how do I use Grip the first time?
Only one end opens. Because the tip is sealed, there is no right or wrong way round: the open end is the only way in. The rest is three moves from the product page, plus one of our own at the end.
- Stretch it out. Pull the sleeve gently with both hands until it sits comfortably against you.
- Lube it up. Water-based only, worked into the inside of the sleeve and onto yourself.
- Slide on and stroke. Change the speed, the pressure and the angle until one combination wins.
- Wash it before anything dries. A sealed sleeve left overnight is harder work than one rinsed straight away.
Positions and pacing live in the how to use Grip guide; this page stays on care, fit and lube.
Which lube does Grip need, and how much?
Water-based, and nothing else. The product page is blunt about it: silicone or oil-based lubricants can damage the product, and Glide is the water-based pairing MyMuse names. The NHS sexual health service in Oxfordshire puts the same rule in general terms, noting that water based lubes are safe with all toys while silicone and some oil based lubes degrade realistic-feel materials over time (Sexual Health Oxfordshire). On quantity, MyMuse publishes no figure and neither will we. Use enough that nothing drags, and top up rather than pushing through friction. The Glide guide goes deeper.
How do I wash and dry a closed-ended stroker?
Invert it. Despite the sealed tip, Grip turns inside out, and that single fact answers the one complaint its reviews raise. The instruction on the product page: invert Grip and wash inside-out with warm water and mild soap, then air-dry completely before it goes back in the pouch. Alcohol, petrol and acetone are named as off limits. Soap is doing the real work here, and the CDC notes that cleaning alone removes most harmful viruses or bacteria from surfaces (CDC).
Drying matters as much as washing. The US EPA's guidance on damp materials is that mould needs water to grow at all, and that materials dried within 24 to 48 hours usually stay clear of it (US EPA). A sealed end holds moisture longer than an open one, so give it more time than feels necessary and put it away only when no damp patch is left. MyMuse publishes no drying time, so we have not printed one.
Surface gone tacky? For this material, support's answer is a wipe with a clean, damp cloth followed by a complete air-dry. Stickiness usually means humidity or a rushed dry rather than a faulty sleeve. Look it over now and then as well: Brook's advice for anything that touches skin is to check for scratches or tears, because damage can harbour germs (Brook). Store it dry, in its pouch, by itself.
What 35 reviews say, including the one honest gripe
Grip holds a 4.86 average across 35 published reviews, with nothing below four stars as of 03 Oct 2026. Texture and suction do most of the talking. The recurring caveat is washing, and one verified buyer put it plainly: "the material gives you a pretty accurate feeling. although washing it properly is a hassle sometimes." Fair comment about any closed end. Turning the sleeve inside out is the part that fixes it.
One sleeve, no charging, no app
Grip arrives in a plain cardboard box with a travel pouch and a manual.
Treat YourselfHow long is Grip, and will it fit?
The product page gives two different numbers, and we would rather say so than pick one. Its FAQ calls Grip 5.4 inches and one of the longest strokers in India; the comparison strip further down the same page prints 3.5 inches beside it. The conflict is with the team. What is not in doubt is the stretch: the TPE is super-stretchy and adapts to different sizes, which is why reviews land on both sides of the surprise. One buyer expected something very large and found it fit the hand perfectly. Another found Grip slightly thicker than expected. Inner diameter and weight are not published anywhere, so they are absent from the table below.

Grip, Jack Pro or Edge: which stroker suits you?
Three sleeves, three different jobs. Grip is the closed-ended one, with suction and no electronics. Jack Pro at ₹1,125 is the open-ended 3.5-inch sibling, quicker to rinse through for the same reason it has no suction. Edge at ₹2,999 is the vibrating one, the only member of the three with a motor. All three are body-safe TPE. The three-way breakdown is in Edge vs Jack Pro vs Grip.

Who is Grip for, and who should skip it?
Grip is for you if
- You want suction from a sealed tip with no motor and no charger.
- You like a snug fit; the TPE stretches rather than hanging loose.
- You are happy to wash a sleeve inside out under a tap.
- You would rather put your money into texture than into electronics.
Skip it if
- Washing a sealed sleeve sounds like a chore. One reviewer says it is.
- You want vibration. Edge is the sibling with the motor.
- You only own silicone or oil-based lube. Both damage TPE.
- You need published dimensions first; inner diameter is not listed.
What should I do if something goes wrong with my Grip?
Grip has no electronics, so the massager warranty does not reach it. If the parcel turns up damaged, send photos within 24 hours of delivery. Unopened returns are accepted within 48 hours. Write to support@mymuse.in, which runs Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM IST and replies inside 24 to 48 hours. Both windows are spelled out in the warranty and returns guide.
Key takeaways
- Sealed at one end: one opening, suction from the tip, no motor to charge.
- Water-based lube only. Silicone and oil-based lubricants damage the TPE.
- Turn it inside out to wash, then air-dry fully before the pouch.
- Length on the product page contradicts itself: 5.4 inches in the FAQ, 3.5 on the strip.
