FAQs
Why does my candle look like it has wet spots or is frosty?
These are NOT flaws in the candles but natural characteristics of pure soy wax and are actually a testament to the lack of paraffin and preservatives in soy candles. Neither of these characteristics, in any way, affect the scent or burning properties of the candles.
How long will my candles stay fresh and how should I store them?
Candles can stay fresh for quite a while, and the ceramic lid on Spark helps with this. In fact, some say the longer candles sit, the better the fragrance. You can store them almost anywhere. If using them in your bathroom or around your tub, avoid getting water in the wax. If you live in a warmer city, try to avoid window sills or too much light exposure, as the wax can melt.
Can the containers be reused?
Yes! Once there is about 1/4 inch of wax left, stop using the candle. Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax and wicks. Our suggestion is to gently scrape out the wax and wicks with a utensil (discard all wax in the trash - never put wax down the drain or garbage disposal). Then place the container in hot soapy water, wash, rinse and dry. You can use your dried ceramic jar as a pretty vase, a desk accessory, or anything else - get creative!
